There is no need to depend on linux-sources if only configuration checks are to be performed using the linux-info eclass. It forces installation of gentoo-sources if none of the portage-provided kernels are being used (e.g. user downloads kernel from kernel.org). Note: I have not verified if it actually needs the kernel sources for some reason. I don't see any, since all userspace kernel interfaces are supposed to be defined in the linux-headers package. (and I could argue it's unnecessary for kernel modules too...) Reproducible: Always
