Description Holger Hoffstätte 2014-01-30 12:42:37 UTC
libtorrent 0.16.4 was released with many fixes and has a new SRC_URI away from Google Code back to SF. Instead of just whining for a 0day bump I went the extra 3 meters and fixed the download. The attached patch fixes the download, and the resulting lib is verified to still work fine with Deluge 1.3.6.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. No downloads from old SRC_URI
2. Apply patch
3. Package builds again

Some maintainers do not appreciate zero-day version bumps.

Thanks a bunch for your completely useless comment which I don't "appreciate" either, mostly because I'm familiar with said policy. Maybe you can just read the original description, where I explain *why* I bothered to provide a tested patch: to save any maintainer/committer the hassle of figuring out the necessary change, even if it just takes 5 minutes. Sorry for trying to help.

Indeed you are not helping. You should thank Holger for his bug and his patch. I am not sure if you have read his first comment. He is aware of the policy, he just tries to help.

Please do not do that again. At least not on my bugs because I really appreciate patches coming from users.

@Holger,

Thanks. I will take care of that soon.

Standard line. Likely not useful in this specific scenario, but if I didn't use it, then I would get whinged at by other maintainers for assigning less-than-useless bugs to them.
