Livestreamer 1.7.2 has been released on 2013-12-17. The current 1.7.1 ebuild in portage can be renamed; no ebuild changes needed.

(I'm proxy-maint for this package.)

Due to changes in Justin.tv and Twitch.tv, older versions of Livestreamer do not work reliably anymore (they have changed their stream formats.) 1.7.2 brings the needed updates to cope with those changes. Due to this, 1.7.2 will probably be the version I will request stabilization for in a few weeks.
