Description d.w.homborg 2013-12-12 20:59:30 UTC
both thunderbid + firefox fail to compile. the thunderbird error is:

RuntimeError: File "content/enigmailBuildDate.js" not found in /var/tmp/portage/mail-client/thunderbird-24.2.0/work/comm-esr24/mailnews/extensions/enigmail/ui, /var/tmp/portage/mail-client/thunderbird-24.2.0/work/comm-esr24/tbird/mailnews/extensions/enigmail/ui

they seem to suffer from the racing condition bug in enigmail when using too much parallel jobs:

http://sourceforge.net/p/enigmail/bugs/214/

whem i lower it ot MAKEOPTS="-j1" the compilation works ok.

I can confirm a -j5 compiles fine. There is no enigmail in firefox so bug can not be present in it.

you are absaolutely right about firefox, it was seamonkey which was also affected by the enigmail bug.

Seamonkey is effected by a major issue with enigmail at moment, we are working on it in another bug.

thanks. it is possible that the issue with seamonkey is the same race condition. i will inform them to test it.

Please do not reopen a bug that is closed as fixed unless it is completely busted. Enigmail is known not to even work in sm-2.23 right now which is going stable for security reasons. We will address all issues with enigmail when we finish fixing the build issues.

just my 2 cents... I have already reported and later fixed the race condition with thunderbird in #456798 so this should be a duplicate.
