Setting up a new system from stage 3 and when I tried to merge grub grub-2.0.0_p5107-r2 the compilation failed in grub-mkfont.c because freetype/ftsynth.h include could not be found. I have freetype-2.5.1 and it seems at some new freetype version, ftsynth.h moved from freetype2/freetype/ftsynth.h to freetype2/ftsynth.h, breaking the include in grub. A non-related bug report said that one should use the include macros defined by freetype (which funnily enough is already done for all the other freetype includes), instead of refering to the files directly. http://trac.macports.org/ticket/41593 Attaching patch that fixes the include. I'm a little bit unsure if the PATCHES statement in the ebuild should be made to apply to the git version as well.
