Description Francesco Turco 2013-09-29 07:50:43 UTC
I can't upgrade lighttpd from version 1.4.32-r3 to 1.4.33 because the latter cannot be compiled:

libtool: compile: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DHAVE_VERSION_H -DLIBRARY_DIR=\"/usr/lib64/lighttpd\" -DSBIN_DIR=\"/usr/sbin\" -I. -I.. -D_REENTRANT -D__EXTENSIONS__ -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_LARGE_FILES -O2 -march=native -pipe -Wall -W -Wshadow -pedantic -std=gnu99 -c mod_extforward.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/mod_extforward.o
mod_extforward.c: In function 'mod_extforward_uri_handler':
mod_extforward.c:442:3: error: 'addrs_left' undeclared (first use in this function)
mod_extforward.c:442:3: note: each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in

Comment 1 Neil Bothwick 2013-09-29 11:15:49 UTC
Same here, until I tried with USE="ipv6". Then it installed as expected.
Comment 2 Francesco Turco 2013-09-29 12:05:31 UTC
I confirm what Neil said: it works with USE="ipv6". But I don't need IPv6 support on my system...
Comment 3 Ben Kohler gentoo-dev 2013-09-29 14:14:46 UTC
Upstream bug tracker has a fix:

http://redmine.lighttpd.net/issues/2515
Comment 4 Neil Bothwick 2013-09-30 21:52:35 UTC
I can confirm that placing that patch in /etc/portage/patches/www-servers/lighttpd-1.4.33 results in successful installation with USE="-ipv6"
Comment 5 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-10-03 18:50:37 UTC
Lets wait for upstream to apply the patch and then we can apply it as well.
Comment 6 Oleg S. Marin 2013-10-16 10:35:58 UTC
(In reply to Markos Chandras from comment #5)
> Lets wait for upstream to apply the patch and then we can apply it as well.

Now upstream has applied the patch http://redmine.lighttpd.net/projects/lighttpd/repository/revisions/2911
Comment 7 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-10-16 20:26:34 UTC
Thanks for the update. It's now fixed in the portage tree as well
