Release notes don't seem to hint at any major changes.

Git 1.8.4 is needed by dev-vcs/git-annex to allow the usage of .gitignore, see [1]. So a bump would be nice!

Slight changes from git-1.8.2-optional-cvs.patch

The Makefile section of the patch needs several line number changes in order to apply to git-1.8.4. None of the other patches in the file are changed.
