Previous stable is 0.6.30 that is vulnerable to security bug #479964. It is also is known to cause damage to python-exec wrt bug #468378. 0.8 was committed on 6 July. Its tests succeed with Python 2.6 up to 3.3. They are known to fail in Python 2.5 (but it's likely a bug in Python itself, and that Python version is going to be removed soon) and PyPy (which is experimental). Today I have backported the python-exec patch to it and bumped it to -r1. Please stabilize that one. =dev-python/setuptools-0.8-r1 ~alpha ~amd64 ~arm ~hppa ~ia64 ~m68k ~ppc ~ppc64 ~s390 ~sh ~sparc ~x86
