The xfce-extra/xfce4-netload-plugin cannot handle predictable interface names as introduced by udev > v197. This is an upstream problem currently unhandled by the developers. However, the XFCE4 bugtracker has a patch at https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9807 that works around this problem. Could this patch be included into the Gentoo ebuild of xfce4-netload-plugin? As the bug has not been adressed upstream for half a year now, it would be convenient to have the plugin working after a simple emerge. Thanks for considering! Reproducible: Always
