Ardour puts configuration files into /usr/etc directory. It seems unusual to me. FYI, according to hier(7), "Site-wide configuration files may be placed here [added by me: /etc] or in /usr/etc. Nevertheless, programs should always look for these files in /etc and you may have links for these files to /usr/etc." However, there is no symlink to /usr/etc/ardour3 in /etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge -1 ardour 2. equery f ardour | grep '/etc/ardour3[^/]' Actual Results: Displays '/usr/etc/ardour3'. Can confirm. Seems additional option --configdir=CONFIGDIR Configuration data [Default: PREFIX/etc] must be passed to configure script (as ./waf --help says). Sorry, never used waf before =)
