Now all versions since 2.3 contain WANT_AUTOMAKE="1.11" and parted is one of the last things on my system that wants 1.11.

Time to check if we can use newer versions of automake?

I have parted since ages in my local overlay to use more current automake.
No problems with automake-1.13 or 1.14 so far.

Good thing someone else filed a bug report, then?

Fixed in all remaining ebuilds (how many do we keep for safety?) without a revision bump.

I had previously filed such bugs - they had been closed as INVALID.

If now there is intention to fix these bugs, I will perhaps file some for docbook2X, openrdate, and recode which I have in my overlay for similar reasons (though recode requires a patch).

Please keep at least 2.4: This is the last version which can actually do what is written in the description - since 3.0 the main functionality of parted was intentionally removed.
