Created attachment 352916 [details] emerge.qemu.log.zip
Please attach the build log instead of the emerge log in the future, thank you. `grep -v "\(^+\|^'\|on$\|off$\)" emerge.qemu.log` returns some sanity... :)
I have a same problem with qemu and spice support. I will be connected with app-emulation/spice compilation failure: * No Python implementation found for the build. This is usually * a bug in the ebuild. Please report it to bugs.gentoo.org * along with the build log. * ERROR: app-emulation/spice-0.12.4::gentoo failed (setup phase): * No supported Python implementation installed.
I had the same error here. Temp solution was to manually rebuild app-emulation/spice before emerging qemu. Now the question is how to properly fix this...
Unfortunately what's attached is an extremely verbose version of the emerge log. What we need to debug this is the config.log from QEMU's configure script.
Created attachment 365696 [details] Qemu logs, including config.log I'm having the same problem on my system. I've attached qemu-logs.tar.xz, which contains (among others) /var/tmp/portage/app-emulation/qemu-1.5.3/work/qemu-1.5.3/config.log
Also, if I disable the static-softmmu useflag, qemu builds fine.
this is a bug in spice imo. when it has USE=static-libs, it should depend on openssl/etc... also having USE=static-libs. packages that try to use spice statically should not have to know what random libs spice itself depends upon.
Done in 0.12.5, thanks.
