Bug's title says it all. Message from portage: * QA Notice: This package installs one or more .desktop files that do not * pass validation. * * /usr/share/applications/CMake.desktop: error: (will be fatal in the future): value "CMakeSetup32.png" for key "Icon" in group "Desktop Entry" is an icon name with an extension, but there should be no extension as described in the Icon Theme Specification if the value is not an absolute path * Reproducible: Always
This is fixed in 2.8.10.2-r1 (testing). I wonder if we should discuss stabilisation of that.
(In reply to comment #1) > This is fixed in 2.8.10.2-r1 (testing). I wonder if we should discuss > stabilisation of that. Looking on cmake 2.8.10 bugs(bugzilla search 'cmake-2.8.10') i discovered one prefix issue and one issue with qt5, which is not in tree yet. So, totally zero blocking things... So, my opinion - we should proceed with stabilizing cmake(as it seems that there is no known regressions) or backport this fix into current stable
