will be needed for ffmpeg-1 to go stable, does it need a new gimp stable too ? (maybe bug #444280 ?)
Too many issues to go stable at the moment: https://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=media-libs%2Fgegl
No more objections from my side, adding arches: alpha amd64 hppa ia64 ppc ppc64 sparc x86
amd64 stable
media-libs/gegl:0 (media-libs/gegl-0.2.0-r1::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by =media-libs/gegl-0.2.0-r1 (media-libs/gegl-0.1.6::gentoo, installed) pulled in by <media-libs/gegl-0.2 required by (media-gfx/gimp-2.6.12-r5::gentoo, installed) media-libs/babl:0 (media-libs/babl-0.1.4::gentoo, installed) pulled in by <media-libs/babl-0.1.8 required by (media-libs/gegl-0.1.6::gentoo, installed) (media-libs/babl-0.1.10::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) pulled in by =media-libs/babl-0.1.10 >=media-libs/babl-0.1.10[introspection?] required by (media-libs/gegl-0.2.0-r1::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) It really wants a newer media-gfx/gimp
amd64 reverted and remove arches per sping's request
its getting more urgent now: bug #473302 and bug #473790 I'll drop ffmpeg support in stable ebuilds soon since this seems to be the only solution
(In reply to Alexis Ballier from comment #6) > its getting more urgent now: bug #473302 and bug #473790 > > I'll drop ffmpeg support in stable ebuilds soon since this seems to be the > only solution I didn't have space to really look into bug #468208, yet. It might be unfixable. I am happy about any help or recommendations on that end.

I am happy about any help or recommendations on that end. the main problem I see is comment #4 , not bug #468208 which could be fixed: stable gimp (2.6.12-r5) depends on <media-libs/gegl-0.2 thus gegl-0.2 can't go stable without gimp.
actually, I must aplogize... I just tried to build gegl-0.1.6 with ffmpeg 1.2 and... it worked.
New revisions aren't affected by bug 468208
this was done
