Attached are the changed ebuilds and patches for net-fs/openafs-kernel and net-fs/openafs.

Changes:
- add openafs-kernel-1.6.2 with patches to compile on kernel 3.8
- add openafs-1.6.2.ebuild
- add openafs-1.4.14.1-r1.ebuild, openafs-1.6.1-r3.ebuild with security fixes

Actions:
- clone openafs-1.6.2-patches-1.tar.bz2 from openafs-1.6.2_pre3-patches-1.tar.bz2 (no changes in the patchets)
- add openafs-sa-2013*patch to net-fs/openafs/files
- add openafs-1.6.2-kernel-3.8-*.patch to net-fs/openafs-kernel/files
- add ebuilds: 
openafs-kernel-1.6.2.ebuild 
openafs-1.4.14.1-r1.ebuild 
openafs-1.6.1-r3.ebuild 
openafs-1.6.2.ebuild
- remove ebuilds: 
openafs-kernel-1.6.1.ebuild 
openafs-kernel-1.6.2_pre3.ebuild 
openafs-1.4.14.1.ebuild  
openafs-1.6.1.ebuild  
openafs-1.6.1-r2.ebuild  
openafs-1.6.2_pre3.ebuild

Notes on patches: all the patches to be added to FILESDIR are specific to a particular release, so it does not make sense to add them to the patches tarball.

Does it fix #454242 ?

Well, I tried 1.6.2 out on vanilla-3.8.2. Both packages compile fine, though I have to run depmod -a manually to start openafs-client, otherwise I had:

# rc-config start openafs-client
Starting init script
openafs-client  | * Caching service dependencies ...                                                                                                                    [ ok ]
openafs-client  | * Starting OpenAFS client ...
openafs-client  | *   Loading OpenAFS kernel module ...
openafs-client  |modprobe: FATAL: Module libafs not found.                                                                                                                    [ !! ]s-client  |                                                                                                                                                             [ !! ]s-client  |
openafs-client  | * ERROR: openafs-client failed to start

Afterwards client works fine (and I do not use server).

Yes, it does. See bug 436598 for yourself.
454242 apparently is a duplicate of 436598, but nobody seems to care...
