Please report upstream.
No, this is broken in stable. Thanks Mike for that.
Don't make me loose my nerves. I didn't start this.
(In reply to comment #1) > Please report upstream. It is good to report upstream, but it is broken on Gentoo for stable users. So no time to wait for upstreams fix. Why don't you want to fix this issue for us?
(In reply to comment #4) > It is good to report upstream, but it is broken on Gentoo for stable users. > So no time to wait for upstreams fix. Why don't you want to fix this issue > for us? Yeah, very nice. The base-system team breaks the stable tree, and then the reasoning is that everyone else must urgently clean up the resulting mess because it affects stable users. :-( The issue will be fixed in Emacs 24.3 (for GNU/Linux at least) whose first release candidate is announced for tomorrow. I need to test on FreeBSD before I can backport the upstream fix to 24.2. http://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=9741 http://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/lh/emacs/emacs-24/revision/108072 http://bzr.savannah.gnu.org/lh/emacs/emacs-24/revision/108133
With certain USE flags combinations the build even succeeded, but then Emacs refused to start up when launched on a tty. Therefore fixed _with_ revbump to emacs-23.4-r5 and emacs-24.2-r1.
