Arches, please test & mark stable the 1.8.20.1 version of Asterisk. Compared to the current stable of 1.8.19.1 this upstreams a local fix and the rewritten init script copes with a hardened system. No other behavioural changes are documented or expected.

Could you please try three start/stop sequences on the default configuration files (with USE=samples)? These should succeed. In-depth testing would require dedicated hardware or paid VoIP accounts, and as such I would recommend that these be skipped unless already available to the AT.
