I tried to install dev-util/cdiff and it failed due to collision with app-misc/colordiff because of /usr/bin/cdiff file, which is a wrapper around /usr/bin/colordiff.
I assume it suffices for the user to install one or the other; if you do want them installed simultaneously I foresee two options: 1. Ask for colordiff to remove the symlink, this is highly unlikely since users of colordiff will want to use the shorter symlink. 2. Ask for an eselect approach to be implemented by both packages. Although really, because they implement the same functionality in a somewhat different style; I don't see a reason to have both emerged simultaneusly. Therefore, I have chosen to let the packages block each other for now... + 10 Feb 2013; Tom Wijsman <TomWij@gentoo.org> cdiff-0.3.ebuild: + Block app-misc/colordiff since it installs a /usr/bin/cdiff symlink. Fixes + #456358. It can take a few hours for this change to propagate. I suggest you run `emerge -C app-misc/colordiff && emerge -av dev-util/cdiff`.
Okay, thanks, I'm fine with it. I'll don't actually need colordiff.
