It can be a fault of my ebuild or just general scipy brokedness. Now I'll attach the build log, and the ebuild in a while after I install it.

I've tested the build for all arches. If you don't mind, I'll commit the ebuild as-is for further testing and improvements. But if I get to doing it, I will. Also, I have asked ago for access to amd64 devbox. When I have it, I will do a complete run with tests enabled for all implementations.

BUt in your build I see more problems. did you rebuild arpack after the blas/lapack installation problems? I am using the numeric libs from sci overlay and for me the testsuite runs fine.

The test are broken with the intree blas, lapack and friends. Sci overlay is fine.
Please see whether this is still valid for scipy 0.14/0.15.
