Description Rhiakath Flanders 2013-01-23 16:15:40 UTC
after upgrading, i noticed lightdm no longer includes a gtk and qt greeter. These now seem to be on separate packages.

So, after the upgrade, and reboot, lightdm no longer started, complaining that gtk greeter was not found.

I see some possible solutions:
1) Check for gtk and qt use flags , and emerge the corresponding greeters accordingly, as a dependency.
2) Add gtk greeter as a direct dependency, as per the standard.
3) Add both greeters back into the lightdm package.

I think solution 1 may be the best one.

Thanks.

This happens when people don't read the elog messages. But to make it easier on our users, we decided to fix this with a pdepend on the greeters.

Fixed in 1.4.0-r1
