Since i've upgraded to 0.30.9 on my ~amd64 system, genlop doesn't display anything. I can't say which was the previous version as 'genlop genlop' shows nothing .... Here's a typical session: orzel@berlioz /usr/src/linux% genlop chromium * www-client/chromium orzel@berlioz /usr/src/linux% genlop genlop * app-portage/genlop orzel@berlioz /usr/src/linux% eix genlop [I] app-portage/genlop Available versions: 0.30.5 0.30.7 (~)0.30.8 0.30.8-r1 0.30.8-r2 (~)0.30.9 **9999 {bash-completion} Installed versions: 0.30.9(00:43:47 21/01/2013) Homepage: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/perl Description: A nice emerge.log parser Reproducible: Always
masking 0.30.9 "solves" my problem, i can now say which previous version i had that still worked: orzel@berlioz /usr/src/linux% genlop genlop * app-portage/genlop Sun Sep 18 02:33:13 2005 >>> app-portage/genlop-0.30.5 Sat Apr 14 17:20:33 2007 >>> app-portage/genlop-0.30.7 Fri Oct 19 01:27:02 2007 >>> app-portage/genlop-0.30.8-r1 Thu Jan 15 10:12:31 2009 >>> app-portage/genlop-0.30.8-r2 Mon Jan 21 00:43:52 2013 >>> app-portage/genlop-0.30.9 Mon Jan 21 19:25:13 2013 >>> app-portage/genlop-0.30.8-r2 Funny that my several years old genlop was still working while the very recent update broke it ;-)
Not sure how I missed this test case, workaround until I get it fixed is to do "genlop -e <pkg name>"
i'll keep my packages.mask workaround meanwhile :-)
This is fixed in app-portage/genlop-0.30.9-r1.
