> /usr/share/genkernel/arch/x86_64/kernel-config:# CONFIG_USB_XHCI_HCD is not set There are users that go through a normal first installation and find that their USB periphals (keyboard and mouse) are not working after a reboot; from a first inspection everything seems to be in place so they can't figure out why this is the cause, it only takes some carefully examination to notice they have only USB 3.0 ports and that support for them isn't enabled by default. Since there are more and more computers and laptops with mostly / only USB 3.0 ports only these days, can we please set CONFIG_USB_XHCI_HCD by default?
More broadly, we need to update genkernel configs for v3 kernels properly, instead of the minor additions we have been doing to date.
Fixed in 3.4.46.1, just released. Closing.
