Description Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-01-17 15:45:37 UTC
Another stable request. This version works with the hwids package, and stops installing another two copies of the OUI database, which are not used by the code anyway.

That's about the only change on the ebuild side for this version, so feel free to test and mark stable if it's okay for you.

Also, Alpha/ARM/Sparc, please do test whether this makes sense at all. Upstream declare supports for x86 (and thus amd64), ia64 and PPC G4 (so I assume PPC64 as well)... no word on the others.

@maekke
I get:

Atropos-XR ~ # lshw
Bus error
Atropos-XR ~ # cat /proc/cpuinfo
Processor       : ARMv7 Processor rev 0 (v7l)

and

is fine for:

arm root # cat /proc/cpuinfo
Processor       : Feroceon rev 0 (v5l)

What's your output?

original test was on armv5, where it works w/o issues. but this also works here on armv6 and armv7.
is this a regression on your box? I guess you should open a new bug for that issue...

I'm pointing this here because as Diego said, there is no 'declared' support for ARM.

As you see - works well. Strange issue...

this might be valid, but it has been working and stabilized before this bug. I'd say open a new bug for your issue. removing arm.
