Another stable request. This version works with the hwids package, and stops installing another two copies of the OUI database, which are not used by the code anyway. That's about the only change on the ebuild side for this version, so feel free to test and mark stable if it's okay for you.
Also, Alpha/ARM/Sparc, please do test whether this makes sense at all. Upstream declare supports for x86 (and thus amd64), ia64 and PPC G4 (so I assume PPC64 as well)... no word on the others.
amd64 stable
x86 stable
ppc64 stable
ppc stable
ia64 stable
sparc stable
arm stable
(In reply to comment #8) > arm stable @maekke I get: Atropos-XR ~ # lshw Bus error Atropos-XR ~ # cat /proc/cpuinfo Processor : ARMv7 Processor rev 0 (v7l) and is fine for: arm root # cat /proc/cpuinfo Processor : Feroceon rev 0 (v5l) What's your output?
(In reply to comment #9) > What's your output? original test was on armv5, where it works w/o issues. but this also works here on armv6 and armv7. is this a regression on your box? I guess you should open a new bug for that issue...
(In reply to comment #10) > is this a regression on your box? I guess you should open a new bug for that > issue... I'm pointing this here because as Diego said, there is no 'declared' support for ARM.
(In reply to comment #9) > What's your output? Mine, for example: raspberry ~ # cat /proc/cpuinfo | head -1 Processor : ARMv6-compatible processor rev 7 (v6l) raspberry ~ # uname -a Linux raspberry 3.2.27+ #250 PREEMPT Thu Oct 18 19:03:02 BST 2012 armv6l ARMv6-compatible processor rev 7 (v6l) BCM2708 GNU/Linux raspberry ~ # lshw raspberry description: Computer width: 32 bits *-core description: Motherboard physical id: 0 *-memory description: System memory physical id: 0 size: 438MiB *-cpu physical id: 1 bus info: cpu@0 size: 700MHz capacity: 700MHz capabilities: cpufreq *-network:0 description: Wireless interface physical id: 1 bus info: usb@1:1.2 logical name: wlan0 serial: 00:e0:4c:05:0f:38 capabilities: ethernet physical wireless configuration: broadcast=yes driver=rtl8192cu ip=10.0.35.13 multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11bg *-network:1 DISABLED description: Ethernet interface physical id: 2 logical name: eth0 serial: b8:27:eb:c5:1e:70 size: 10Mbit/s capacity: 100Mbit/s capabilities: ethernet physical tp mii 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd autonegotiation configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=smsc95xx driverversion=22-Aug-2005 duplex=half firmware=smsc95xx USB 2.0 Ethernet link=no multicast=yes port=MII speed=10Mbit/s As you see - works well. Strange issue...

I'd say open a new bug for your issue. removing arm.
