With this patch you get to the actual error

Needs dependency and headers fixed, and after those, you still hit an error

I've fixed the latest snapshot with ArchLinux patch, but 9999 is still broken and I'm not dealing with mplayer2 upstream, so leaving this open

Seems it is solved upstream:
http://git.mplayer2.org/mplayer2/commit/?id=c5dc8dfe23c58c2a3d554c660c33b40f94ee2db6

Please check. Will you update patch for latest snapshot?

The latest snapshot works as is and now live version too. With next snapshot the patch in tree can be dropped and this will autoresolve.
