KDE 4.9.5 will be the next to be stabilized. I an opening this bug now for review of the stabilization list. This version only has amd64 and x86 as target keywords; additional arches are up for discussion.

Dear testers, as we did last time, please add the attached list in your package.keywords file and run emerge -DuN world.

Please report bugs on irc. Feel free to report an 'ok' here if all goes well after few day of usage. Thanks in advance.
Comment 4 Enrico Tagliavini 2013-01-22 09:23:30 UTC
=kde-base/konqueror-4.9.5 is missing
Comment 5 Enrico Tagliavini 2013-01-22 09:26:55 UTC
I take it back. =kde-base/konqueror-4.9.5-r1 is present in the list, but it is missing from portage. In portage there is only =kde-base/konqueror-4.9.5. So either bump it in the main portage tree or change the list :)

I have updated my system(amd64) with this stable list on January 21. It's going well.
Comment 8 Michael Mair-Keimberger (iamnr3) 2013-01-27 11:16:41 UTC
Used it for some days now, without any problems. Also compiled it a few times with different settings. All fine.
Comment 9 Paul Healy 2013-01-27 11:31:56 UTC
No problems seen here - amd64 since Jan 21.
Comment 10 Denis M. (Phr33d0m) 2013-01-27 11:40:50 UTC
Same here, amd64 ok.
Comment 11 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2013-01-27 13:00:18 UTC

I'm using 4.9.5 at a x86 ThinkPad since it was released - it runs fine AFAICT.
Comment 13 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2013-01-27 16:18:57 UTC
x86 stable, thanks guys.
Comment 14 Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2013-01-28 09:47:29 UTC
ppc stable, thanks guys.
I'd keep this bug open for arm.
Comment 15 Bernd Buschinski 2013-01-29 17:09:18 UTC
works fine on my rasberry pi armv6j

even konversation, which is not part of the list
Comment 16 Gavin Pryke 2013-02-15 14:00:27 UTC
I have tried 4.8.x and 4.9.5 on my pandaboard (armv7a) and all of kde-meta compile fine although our keywords probably differ quite a bit. Not sure if this is a configuration problem here but something is preventing me from using the add widgets function in plasma-desktop so I cannot add any widgets. A bit of a show stopper for desktop use but at least most of the apps I tried work. I'm compiling 4.10 now.
Comment 17 Gavin Pryke 2013-02-19 14:27:41 UTC
My problem in comment #16 is still present in 4.10.0. Upstream bug here

Comment 18 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2013-03-18 23:38:14 UTC
Thanks everyone. It does not look like anything will still happen here.
Let's re-visit arm when we discuss 4.10.
