I had some issues setting the vpopmail USE flag, seems that it isn't supported upstream any more (according to the ebuild). Why is it still in the ebuild, or not masked?

In order to improve the ebuild, I would:

1. Remove the duplicate 'user' eclass and reorder alphabetically the inherited eclasses at line 6:

inherit autotools eutils flag-o-matic multilib user

2. Add || die at the end of lines: 50, 96, 109, 110, 124, 125, 127, 146, 153, 159
