Next missing USE flag:
Any reason you ignore the solr support of dovecot? :-P

Please add a 'solr' use flag to enable "--with-solr"

(Needs "solr? ( net-misc/curl )" in debs)

Main reason is difficulty of testing solr on my part.  But bumped it on my TODO list.

Eray, this bug is now nearly five months (!) old and its really trivial to fix.

If you are not interested in fixing this or have a lack of time just tell me. I will be happy to commit the fix myself if thats ok for you.

"Fixing" it is trivial.  Testing whether searching with solr works as intended before fixing it is not.  If you have the means to test it and are willing to help if a problem with solr comes up, please go ahead and bump.  Thanks.

Fixed. I added 2.2.2-r1 and 2.1.16-r1 with solr support. But I leave removing 2.1.16 and 2.2.2 ebuilds up to you as it seems you currently in the process of stabilizing at least 2.1.16
