PyPy 2.0 beta1 is released (compatible with Python 2.7.3). It has many improvements and is considered relatively stable according to developer. Would also like to see possibility to use eselect python for pypy. The ebuild should check for 3.8 or 3.9GiB of RAM instead of 4GiB to allow it to be build on systems with 4GiB physical. It never really used more than 3.6-3.7GiB of RAM compiling on my amd64 install.
I'd like to point to bug https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421311. PyPy should really always be built using PyPy if it is available.
