Created attachment 330028 [details] Ebuild to pull Frodo Beta 1 from git
I have added an modified live ebuild that pulls the sources for the Frodo_beta1 tag from git.
You need to add the dependence: dev-lang/swig and some java (which will be incredibly annoying...)
There is beta2 now. Stefan's ebuild still works with the following change: EGIT_COMMIT="192701b6a1cde82106c287c5f1a6ee07c4388567"
Another beta released: http://xbmc.org/natethomas/2012/12/08/xbmc-12-frodo-beta-3/ Commit no: EGIT_COMMIT="ae60d24346e99e6e67d68e247ebaea8e6acb185c" FWIW there is also a source tarball: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/archive/Frodo_beta3.tar.gz (also for other betas at https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/tags )
Created attachment 331842 [details] beta3 hardcoded ebuild here's a beta3 hardcoded ebuild, merged the latest -9999 changes in too
You still need to add some JRE dependency. It fails configuration step without it.
used the tarballs available via github to add rc2
should be all set now in the tree; thanks for the report! Commit message: Version bump http://sources.gentoo.org/media-tv/xbmc/xbmc-12.0_rc2.ebuild?rev=1.1 http://sources.gentoo.org/media-tv/xbmc/xbmc-9999.ebuild?r1=1.124&r2=1.125
