According to http://rpy.sourceforge.net/news.html, rpy2 should be python3 ready since more than three years. I just removed 3.* from RESTRICT_PYTHON_ABIS on a current amd64 system and obtained working rpy2 support for both current python versions dev-lang/python-2.7.3-r2 and dev-lang/python-3.2.3-r1.
