Our last stable version is 2.1.1 which was released in january of 2012. So I'd say let's try to get a more recent version into the stable tree. Unfortunately there are two bugs which should rather be fixed before a new version goes stable. See the two bug this one depends on.
I think we should aim for 2.4.1-r1, and ignore the test failures for the purposes of this bug. I'll try to clean it up a bit, but it's simply to wonky/sensitive to spend a whole lot of time on.
Please stabilize. The tests are a bit fussy: - Timeouts in test-mq and/or test-largefiles should be ignored - Changing "Connection refused" to "Address family not supported by protocol" should be ignored Please describe any other test failures here so I can determine if they should block stabilization.
