Since dropbox now has 2-step authentication a new version of the app is needed to support this feature.

by trying download url's. found latest version is 1.5.0

According to this page, 1.4.17 is the latest stable build and 1.5.12 is the latest forum build.

Unfortunately I cannot add my PC with 2-step authentication. I've added -1.4.17 for testing, so please try with it.

works great. merged no problem let me add my account with 2-step verification and synced the 5 files i had added to my computer. Thank you.
