Created attachment 325286 [details] build.log This is not an urgent bug, but it would be nice if pykde4 was able to be built against the latest sip versions. This can also create some headaches when sip-4.14 is out before a new pykde4 is released build.log attached Portage 2.2.0_alpha134 (default/linux/amd64/10.0, gcc-4.7.1, glibc-2.15-r3, I would suggest to report this upstream, to get this fixed in next release.
(In reply to comment #1) > I would suggest to report this upstream, to get this fixed in next release. I have no kde bugzilla account and I'd rather not create one as it is unlikely I will use it again any time soon. So I thought I run it through you guys first as you may talk to upstream directly.

Arfrever wrote a patch and attached it to the upstream bug. Please consider applying it.
Note, this patch breaks older PyQt4 so it either needs to applied conditionally or revbump it and raise dependencies. If nobody fixes it soonish, I will do the latter, as I need new sip/PyQt4 asap

This seems to be fixed in the HEAD of pykde4. Anyone from @kde willing to revbump pykde4 with the fix?
Fixed in 4.9.2-r1. Patch backported from upstream commits in the 4.9 branch http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/kde-base/pykde4/pykde4-4.9.2-r1.ebuild?view=log&hideattic=1&pathrev=MAIN http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/kde-base/pykde4/files/pykde4-4.9.2-pyqt45.patch?view=log&hideattic=1&pathrev=MAIN
