Newer version of kwebkitpart was released about three weeks ago. It has several long-awaited features that were missing (at least by me). Some examples: Added Access key support. Added on demand plugin loading that honors Konqueror's settings. Added support for using Konqueror's nsplugin for displaying flash and java applets. Added automatic scrolling support konqueror crashed when trying to print current page as PDF file and more. See link for a full changelog. There is at least one problem with simply bumping version number: SRC_URI points to some weird location. It should be fixed and I was unable to find some kind of centralized KDE mirror with sources.
And btw, for example, in Archlinux they also fetch sources from their local ftp. Tarball can be found here ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/other/kwebkitpart/kwebkitpart-1.3.0.tar.xz Maybe sufficient steps are to pull the repo from project page at version 1.3 and upload the tarball to Gentoo's local ftp like it is done now?
