Current stable app-misc/gramps-3.2.5 doesn't build anymore due to automake failures:

app-misc/gramps-3.4.0 builds fine and works as far as I tested on amd64 after importing old database.

Same problem here with =app-misc/gramps-3.2.5

=app-misc/gramps-3.4.0 tested amd64: works fine here.
Only two warnings when I launch the program about two modules (pyexiv2 and osmgpsmap) will not be loaded. I can't check if the latest stable has the same warnings because I can't compile it.

amd64 stable
Comment 3 Roger 2012-09-24 23:36:23 UTC
Ditto. gramps-3.4.0 on x86 seems stable here. Builds fine, with no crashes or bugs -- aside from those few published on the Gramps home page and fixed in 3.4.1.
Comment 4 Nikoli 2012-09-27 20:22:08 UTC
I am not sure if it is good idea to mark .0 version stable when 3.4.1 bugfix release exists for month. Also it seems version bump for >=gramps-3.3 is not completed yet: bug #371324

The Gramps build system is strange in some regards and I had problems with it for the 3.4.1 bump...I solved it now and bumped the package.
The big changes occured between 3.2 and 3.3 with a database format change, this should have be settled down by now.
If we always wait for those bumps we never get anything stabled.

 This is all optional stuff.

Please go on with stabilisation. x86 running fine, I can confirm here.

x86 stable, closing
