puppet-2.7.19 has been released on Aug 14 2012: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/puppet-announce/KJ9njg6I6Uk http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/1/wiki/Release_Notes#2.7.19 It contains many fixes for the 2.7 branch and is also the version currently offered by puppet labs official repositories (for DEB and RPM based distros). It would be nice to have it in portage to ensure maximum compatibility in environments with multiple distributions.
This patch must be included till 2.7.20 released: https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/pull/983/files Description here: http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/15665 On my system after patching puppet apply runs 69 sec. Without patch - 614 sec.
Please also make sure to mark this release again for ruby19. Currently the only ruby19 release is 2.7.12, causing downgrades if packages depend on puppet (e.g. my puppet-lint in my overlay). Also, the blocker mentioned in the ebuild (ruby-ldap) has had a ruby19 keyword since may.

By the way, ruby-ldap has ruby19 target again, so, I think, all puppet releases can be marked back as ruby19-compatible
@Matsuu: May I bump it?
Infra is migrating from CFengine to Puppet, so it would be best for us to co-maintain the package. I hope there are no objections to this, please raise your concerns otherwise
(In reply to comment #3) > By the way, ruby-ldap has ruby19 target again, so, I think, all puppet > releases can be marked back as ruby19-compatible I've just added the ruby19 keyword back to puppet-2.7.18-r1 (latest testing).
Both versions have just been added. Puppet-3.x is masked for testing for now.
