Is it OK to stabilise =dev-python/pycurl-7.19.0-r1? It has been in the tree for 30 days, and fixes some recurring undefined symbol bugs.
I believe that would be safe/sane, and the only related open bug I see right now is apparently fixed either by rebuilding or upgrading to 7.19.0-r1, so it has my vote.
