Arches, please test and mark stable: =sys-apps/net-tools-1.60_p20120127084908 Target KEYWORDS : "alpha amd64 arm hppa ia64 m68k ppc ppc64 s390 sh sparc x86"
ifconfig moved to /bin, but i think all the packages that failed on that have been sorted out now ...
RDEPEND="!<sys-apps/openrc-0.9.9.3" however, latest stable is openrc-0.9.8.4
ok, we'll wait then. thanks.
For information, current stable version (1.60_p20110409135728) does not compile with (unstable) gentoo-sources-3.6.0, due to missing if_strip.h in /usr/src/linux-3.6.0-gentoo/include/linux/. The version relating to this bug does compile OK with 3.6.0: 1.60_p20120127084908

What is still missing before the new version can be marked stable?
Tested amd64: works fine here. Tested x86: works fine here.
amd64 and x86 stable
Tested ppc: works fine here.
ppc stable, thanks Vincent
(In reply to comment #1) > ifconfig moved to /bin, but i think all the packages that failed on that > have been sorted out now ... See bug #432452. dev-ruby/facter (stable 1.6.0 and latest 1.6.14) both fail to produce any network related output with this version of net-tools.

Can we please push this version stable sooner rather than later?
