Build log

As requested on Tomas's blag, I've tried to build libreoffice-3.6.9999 with FEATURES="-test". It fails with:

ERROR: error 512 occurred while making /var/tmp/portage/app-office/libreoffice-3.6.9999/work/libreoffice-core-3.6.9999/tail_build/prj

it seems that the error is inside 'tail_build', please re-run build
inside this module to isolate the error and/or test your fix:

Attached is bzipped (because of the size) build log.

Build log from 3.6.0.4

The same thing happens on libreoffice-3.6.0.4, so I renamed the bug. Attached is the build log from 3.6.0.4, but I expect it to be the same as the previous one (modulo the version numbers).

emerge --info is the same as above.

# emerge -pqv libreoffice
[ebuild U ] app-office/libreoffice-3.6.0.4 [3.5.9999] USE="branding cups gtk svg (-aqua) -binfilter -binfilterdebug -dbus -eds -gnome -graphite -gstreamer -java -jemalloc -kde -mysql -odk -opengl -postgres -test -vba -webdav -xmlsec (-nlpsolver%) (-nsplugin%) (-pdfimport%)" LIBREOFFICE_EXTENSIONS="presenter-console%* presenter-minimizer%* -nlpsolver% -pdfimport% -scripting-beanshell% -scripting-javascript% -wiki-publisher%"

The exact same error happens over here.

$ emerge -pqv libreoffice
[ebuild N ] app-office/libreoffice-3.6.0.4 USE="cups java kde opengl (-aqua) -binfilter -binfilterdebug -branding -dbus -eds -gnome -graphite -gstreamer -gtk -jemalloc -mysql -odk -postgres -svg -test -vba -webdav -xmlsec" LIBREOFFICE_EXTENSIONS="-nlpsolver -pdfimport -presenter-console -presenter-minimizer -scripting-beanshell -scripting-javascript -wiki-publisher"

Version 3.5.5.3 worked fine.
Comment 5 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-08-11 11:26:16 UTC
The unittest that fails use xmlsec to open file with password, and it fails even if it should not.

So the question is why. Someone of you guys which have the issue will have to debug the crash with gdb and strace prefferably.

See in the build log how to proceed there:

cd /var/tmp/portage/.../work/.../
export export GDBCPPUNITTRACE="gdb --args"

make

and observe the fault there.

Comment 7 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-08-12 08:54:12 UTC
So now I understand, I completely forgot xmlsec has useflag :D

The fix is rather straight forward -> disabling the test if xmlsec is disabled.
I am going to write the patch so in few hours it will be hopefully done and waiting on review for 3.6 branch.
Comment 8 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-08-12 09:00:06 UTC
Ok, plan2 after discussion with other lo devs: it should never have been optional, so hard enabling on 3.6.9999 and 9999.

On 3.6.0.4 rebuild for now with +xmlsec, or wait on 3.6.1.x release which won't have the useflag.
Comment 9 Tomáš Chvátal (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-08-12 09:07:16 UTC
And also marking as fixed for now.
