Description Christian Ruppert (idl0r) gentoo-dev 2012-07-25 18:00:10 UTC
Guys,

Please stabilize =net-dns/bind-tools-9.9.1_p2.
It has been bumped today because of bug 427966 but actually it shouldn't affect bind-tools at all. This was a security release only so there aren't major changes at all.

Hoping this is the right bug for this report...

The berkdb use flag has been set in the default profile for 4+ years. When trying to emerge net-dns/bind, I hit an error requiring the dlz use flag. There are no tweaks in /etc/portage for the bind package, so I'm a little worried when the default install fails with a use flag error. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Kevin

Comment 8 Christian Ruppert (idl0r) gentoo-dev 2012-08-08 19:21:44 UTC
Kevin,

there's basically nothing that I can do.
BIND uses berkdb only for dlz and that is actually what the error says.
