Comment 5 Rafał Mużyło 2012-06-12 22:55:39 UTC
This is most likely an effect of the (not quite) recent gnutls[nettle].
Comment 6 Antonio Regidor Garcia 2012-06-23 12:23:48 UTC
I removed the gnutls USE flag from make.conf and now openldap builds OK.

I also upgraded my kernel to 3.3.8 before building openldap, so maybe this had an effect too (I modified some cryptography related kernel options, but I don't remember which of them, and I removed the old sources and .config, so I can't know, sorry).
Comment 7 Puggan 2012-09-13 19:46:58 UTC
got the same error

looks like portage tries to install
openldap-2.4.30 before dev-libs/libgcrypt

@comment 7: due to specifics of gnutls[nettle], that most likely an incorrect solution.
Comment 9 Puggan 2012-09-14 11:58:23 UTC
(In reply to comment #8)

> incorrect solution.

as the error said:
"tls_g.c:46:20: fatal error: gcrypt.h: No such file or directory"
and after googeling i find out that gcrypt.h was a part of dev-libs/libgcrypt.

I tried reemerge openldap after dev-libs/libgcrypt was emerge, and it worked.

that in combination that other (2.4.31) ebuilds had the row
               gnutls? ( net-libs/gnutls dev-libs/libgcrypt ) )

its looked like the builder fo the openldap-2.4.30.ebuild just missed dev-libs/libgcrypt

Seeing as how the dep is in there for 2.4.31 I think it was just missed. What would it take to get this change added as 2.4.30-r1 (and hopefully stabilized quickly)?
Comment 12 Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2012-10-22 08:43:00 UTC
Fixed in 2.4.30
