The newest version of Media Lovin' Toolkit 0.8.0 was released in the 1st of June 2012. http://mltframework.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/version-080-released.html which hopefully will solve many problems with kdenlive. Many thx!
Since I am one of many kdenlive:"Rendering of ... aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted."-victims (see e.g. http://www.kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=2489), I am looking forward for mlt-0.8.0 in gentoo portage. In the meanwhile: Is any protage overlay known to provide media-libs/mlt-0.8.0? I could not find one.
Bumped in CVS. I haven't done any testing beyond "if it compiles, ship it!" So let us know if there are any problems.
I have done many movies on my Gentoo with a new mlt 0.8.0 and kdenlive - everything works pretty well form me - eg. no longer irritating message "Rendering of ... aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted." and the most important 2pass works now! I did check projects with the most popular output files (HDV, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, flash and everything rendered without any error (both 1pass & 2pass). Looks like kdenlive with a new MLT its really stable now. :) Many THX Ben de Groot!
I am relatively new to kdenlive (about one month), so I have no big projects to test mlt-0.8.0 with. But as for my current project, the mentioned error ("Rendering of ... aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted.") is gone. :) Some small tests I did: I tested source videos from two different digital cameras: - 640x480, 30 fps (MJPG) - 1280x720, 30 fps (H264) rendering to: - 640x480, 30 fps (XVid) - 1280x720, 30 fps (Theora) There is no special reason for choosing these codecs, just testing a little bit around. Everythings works great so far. I have installed: - KDE 4.8.3 - media-video/kdenlive 0.9.2 - media-libs/mlt 0.8.0 - media-video/ffmpeg 0.10.3 Thanks for your quick response and good work, Ben!
