Description Alexandre Rostovtsev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-05-18 23:18:13 UTC
Please keyword >=dev-util/devhelp-3.4.1 for ~arm, ~ppc64, and ~amd64-fbsd; it's needed for dev-util/glade (see bug #416495).

cant proceed to keyword webkit-gtk: geoloc is masked everywhere but on x86 and amd64 but webkit-gtk-1.8.1-r301 has: REQUIRED_USE="introspection? ( geoloc gstreamer )" which makes webkit-gtk[introspection] uninstallable...

Then please keyword =app-misc/geoclue-0.12.0_p20110307 and unmask the flag for your arch :)

As the comment in /usr/portage/profiles/base/package.use.mask says, I masked the geoloc and webkit2 flags for webkit-gtk in base purely because app-misc/geoclue and app-accessibility/at-spi2-core are not keyworded for most arches.

This has now been reversed: webkit-gtk now has USE=geoloc masked only on specific arches where webkit-gtk is keyworded bug app-misc/geoclue is not.

We can KEYWORD app-misc/geoclue[gps] ~{x86,amd64}-fbsd if usb? ( virtual/libusb:1 ) is added to sci-geoscience/gpsd-2.95-r1.

Can't you just consider to use gpsd-3.x and later, they have the usb properly useflagged.

app-misc/geoclue has RDEPEND as follw:

       gps? ( <=sci-geosciences/gpsd-2.95-r1 )

so, gpsd-3.x is not useful for this.
