I am trying to emerge kde-meta and it fails on kde-base/marble-4.8.2
I have attached the build.log of marble.

Could you verify that you have qt-webkit installed?
Comment 2 Arvydas Sidorenko 2012-04-30 22:18:19 UTC
No i didn't and that was the problem.
Comment 3 Johannes Huber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-04-30 22:29:47 UTC
Please give steps to reproduce this bug.

`emerge kde-meta` and on kde-base/marble build fails.
Installing qt-webkit solved the problem and the whole kde-meta build finished successfully. So the problem is missing dependency in marble ebuild.
Comment 5 Chris Reffett (RETIRED) gentoo-dev Security 2012-05-01 04:47:25 UTC
Except that does not make sense, because marble inherits kde4-base.eclass, which adds qt4-webkit to the dependencies.

This is true. Then I assume the issue might be my make.conf which has -kde, -qt, -qt4 in USE.

This is fixed in 4.8.3 and later. Thanks, took some time analyzing.

(USE=-kde does not pull in any dependencies!)
