Please stabilize =app-i18n/uim-1.7.3. It has been in the tree for over 30 days and there is no open bug for it.

Additionally, the latest stable version 1.5.7 is very old. Uim 1.5.7 was released over 2 years ago and doesn't support GTK+ 3 immodule.

Please note that app-i18n/uim-1.5.7 in stable is VERY UNSTABLE because bug #368483 remains unsolved.

Using the following without issues so far on x86. Empty LINGUAS due to LINGUAS-dependent bugs in "Depends on" above, but that's not critical IMO.

app-i18n/uim-1.7.3 was built with the following:
USE="X anthy gtk gtk3 libnotify m17n-lib ncurses nls unicode xft -canna -curl -eb -emacs -gnome -kde -libedit -libffi -prime -qt4 -skk -sqlite -ssl -static-libs -test" LINGUAS="-ja -ko -zh_CN -zh_TW"

bug #404463 need more discussion.
bug #402891 is trivial bug to block this stabilization.
I'm working on adding common atomic gtk-query-immodules function to gnome2-utils.eclass (bug #413525) , but we can add the fix for this package to stabilize it early. I've added the fix only to this version.

Also added patch to workaround build failure with glib-2.32.
