Description Fernando (likewhoa) 2012-03-30 15:47:38 UTC
Not sure what the problem is here since at first it looks like a reemerge of readline and ncurses should fix the issue but it doesn't. This is on an all ~arch system with current readline/ncurses.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =sys-fs/xfsprogs-3.1.7

Actual Results:
/bin/sh ../libtool --quiet --tag=CC --mode=link x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed,--sort-common -Wl,--warn-once,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed,--sort-common -Wl,--warn-once,--hash-style=gnu -rpath /lib64 -version-info 0:0:0 -o libxfs.la cache.lo init.lo kmem.lo logitem.lo radix-tree.lo rdwr.lo trans.lo util.lo xfs_alloc.lo xfs_ialloc.lo xfs_inode.lo xfs_btree.lo xfs_alloc_btree.lo xfs_ialloc_btree.lo xfs_bmap_btree.lo xfs_da_btree.lo xfs_dir2.lo xfs_dir2_leaf.lo xfs_attr_leaf.lo xfs_dir2_block.lo xfs_dir2_node.lo xfs_dir2_data.lo xfs_dir2_sf.lo xfs_bmap.lo xfs_mount.lo xfs_rtalloc.lo xfs_trans.lo xfs_attr.lo linux.lo -lpthread -lrt

this with sane CFLAGS/LDFLAGS. P.S this is the only packages that doesn't compile on this system.

build log with USE=-static

so it seems it's a USE=static issue.
Comment 4 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-03-30 17:08:19 UTC
Fixed in tree.
Comment 5 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2012-03-30 21:40:06 UTC
that change isn't entirely correct. but i've just fixed it in 3.1.7-r1 myself.
