Description:   Opened: 2004-02-05 09:22 0000
As seen on Planet Gnome and http://www.gnome.org/~markmc/blog/

May need some work to separate the client (requires java <yuk>) and the server components, but it works for now.

(well, almost - you'll have to do a lsof -c vino-server to work out what port it's actually listening on)

Ebuild and patch for compile error to follow.

Patch to fix compile error

------- Comment #3 From Yi Quang (RETIRED) 2004-02-05 20:46:05 0000 -------
This should have little priority, pre-beta software.

my idea

Bumped ebuild

Patch no longer needed.

------- Comment #6 From foser (RETIRED) 2004-03-03 01:32:44 0000 -------
@ the ebuild, the libbonobo dep tricks aren't really necessary, just depend on
libbonobo alone -> it always implies bonobo-activation if needed.

let src_unpack & SRC_URI be handled by the gnome2 eclass.

Cleaned 0.14 ebuild

Changes made, thanks.

------- Comment #8 From Robert Moss (RETIRED) 2004-08-07 19:01:28 0000 -------
This has now hit version 2.7.4 and has been propsed for the GNOME 2.8 modules
list. Does someone fancy keeping tabs on this one to make sure the 2.8 jump
doesn't wreak havoc?

------- Comment #9 From foser (RETIRED) 2004-08-11 06:04:01 0000 -------
cleaned up the proposed ebuild a bit & added net-misc/vino-2.7.4 to the tree
p.mask-ed so it can get some testing.

Thanks for the effort.

------- Comment #10 From Jonathan Adamczewski 2004-08-23 01:14:53 0000 -------
Forgive me if I've missed something (or this has changed in the 12 hours since
my last emerge), but there is no net-misc/vino in portage even though vino is
masked in package.mask

An oversight?

------- Comment #11 From foser (RETIRED) 2004-08-23 02:54:07 0000 -------
correct, i never did the final commit *duh*

------- Comment #12 From foser (RETIRED) 2004-08-23 02:55:18 0000 -------
now fixed & added 2.7.91 in the process
