Since I installed dhcpcd 5.5.4 I'm having troubles in getting IP addresses, it works only seldom and I get a lot of segfaults like this. dhcpcd[6860]: segfault at 21a0060 ip 00007faaa384e531 sp 00007fffc5185118 error 4 in libc-2.14.1.so[7faaa37ce000+185000] Reverting to 5.5.3 seems to have fixed the issues, but I've done only a limited amount of tests. I don't know if this can have any importance, but i've seen it happening only in IPv6 enabled networks (maybe it has been only by chance). Can you attach a backtrace? Help even better if built with -ggdb in CFLAGS. You can normally find a core dump in / sudo gdb /sbin/dhcpcd core /dhcpcd.core bt

dhcpcd-5.5.5 is now in portage.
