Confirmed by mgorny on IRC too. So the updated patch only held less than 2 weeks :/
Comment 3 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2012-02-16 09:59:56 UTC
There definitely was some heavy code rework, but in the end this may provide us with a cleaner way: this single --with-gcc-toolchain option sounds promising!
Comment 4 Marcin Mirosław 2012-02-16 12:20:32 UTC
I hope it brings a little stabilization for live ebuid:)
Comment 5 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2012-02-16 14:49:52 UTC
The new gcc install autodetection seems to work :) I have dropped the patch and the system-cxx-headers system from -9999 ebuild and could generate binaries from C++, with -m32, with plain C without a problem!
Comment 6 Marcin Mirosław 2012-02-16 16:09:20 UTC
Works;) thanks!
