Description Dennis Schridde 2012-02-03 14:05:01 UTC
Beta version 9917 was released, containing some minor features:
1 February 2012: 4.3.9917 (Beta Release)
* Fix a bug causing client to hang in some circumstances when purging historical versions.
* Fix a bug preventing image previews from updating after deduplication.
* Fix local copy feature.
* Add --generate-previews command line option for generating previews for historical versions.

Simple cp suffices for the bump.

I would like to add to the postinst text that system libraries are managed by the distro, and hence can be quickly updated in case of security issues and also benefit from general bugfixes. Those might arrive later (or not at all) in bundled libraries.

Reproducible: Always

Maybe link to something like [1]?

Heh, I feel funny giving a fedora link but its a good read! There's also

  http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Why_not_bundle_dependencies

but its not as thorough. I think both.

Okay I bumped it on the tree. I added the fedora link to the post_inst message.

Version 4.3.9917 was promoted from beta to final status. Please also note that the version was 4.3 and not 4.2 - my bad. The new version is thus: app-backup/spideroak-bin-4.3.9917
